Why BOO per second?

One nuance about SpookySwap regarding farms that some of you may have noticed is that we calculate emissions based on BOO per second rather than per block like the farms on Binance Smart Chain and Ethereum do.
On Fantom, the block times are proportional to the transaction activity on the block. As such, the block times can vary from as low as 0.97 seconds to as high as 20+ seconds.

Fantom Block Times
What does this mean for SpookySwap? In regards to the farm, not much. You will still earn rewards just like the farms on other chains, and just as consistently, if not more so. In regards to swapping, however, this is where Fantom Opera shines. As transactions go up on the Fantom Blockchain (hopefully with help from us!), block times will go down, which means faster confirmations of transactions and faster trades. Faster trades mean better arbitrage opportunities, less slippage, less or no front-running, a better user experience, and the potential for more advanced trading applications.
